Who we are
This website is run by Oscar Fernando of MyBills Compare Group, 1000 Lakeside North Harbour, Cosham, Portsmouth PO6 3EN. We are responsible for the personal information you share with us through this site.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email [email protected] or call 0333 335 7841.
What information we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us:
- Your bot request. When you describe the bot you want and fill in the request form (for example your business type, the job you want handled, the tools you use, your name, phone number, email address and the best time to call).
- Phone calls. If you call us, we see your phone number and keep notes of what we discuss.
- WhatsApp messages. If you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your WhatsApp name, number and the messages you send.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, talk through and design your bot, provide a quote, build and set up the bot you ask for, and support it afterwards. We also keep records we need for running the business, such as invoices.
Our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we rely on:
- Consent: when you tick the box on the request form agreeing to be contacted, or choose to message or call us.
- Contract: when we need your details to give you a quote or to build and support a bot you have asked for.
- Legitimate interests: to run and protect our business and to answer questions you send us, where this doesn't override your rights.
WhatsApp and phone contact
WhatsApp is a service run by Meta. When you contact us through WhatsApp, Meta's own privacy policy also applies to that conversation. The WhatsApp button on this site simply opens a chat with a suggested first message, which you can edit or delete before sending.
We use your phone number, WhatsApp or email only to deal with your enquiry and your bot. We won't add you to any marketing list without your consent.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or advertising tools, and we don't add any third-party scripts or fonts. If you use the voice assistant, your browser's own speech service may be used (see below).
It does use your browser's own storage in two small ways, which never leave your device on their own:
- Session storage remembers that you've already seen the short opening animation, so it only plays once per visit.
- Local storage keeps a copy of a bot request you submit on the home page, on your device. When you send the form, the request also goes through this website's server so it can be emailed to Oscar at [email protected]. The server doesn't keep a copy. If it can't be emailed, it stays saved on your device and you can send it from your own email app with the “Send by email instead” button.
Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp or your email app open those services, which have their own privacy policies.
Voice assistant
The voice assistant in the "Describe your bot" box on the home page is optional. It only starts listening when you tap Ask Oscar bot and allow your microphone, and you can type your question instead.
Your browser turns what you say into text using its own speech service: in Chrome that's Google's speech service, and in Safari it's Apple's. Those companies' own privacy policies apply to that step. We don't record or store your audio.
Your question is matched against a short list of approved answers inside your browser. The text only reaches us if you put it in the request form and send it to us. Spoken replies are read out by your device's own voices.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it with service providers that help us run the business, such as Cloudflare, which hosts this website and may process technical data like your IP address to deliver and protect the site, and the email, phone and messaging providers that carry our conversations with you. If we use any other service to build or run your bot, we will tell you first.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. If you become a client, we keep your details for as long as we work together and then for as long as the law requires for business and tax records. When we no longer need information, we delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
